New Jersey man arrested for third DWI

When people hear new reports of an arrest or charges filed against someone,
many people automatically assume that person is guilty. This is probably
because most news stories are only using the police report. This police
report is used to assist the prosecution in the case that might be brought
against the person arrested. The police often don’t include defense
statements in their reports.
A man in New Jersey was arrested for the third time in the last 16 days
and accused of drunk driving. These charges are extremely serious, especially
given the time proximity to other arrests. A rigorous criminal defense
will likely be needed because the man was arrested for the same crime
in such a short period of time.
Figuring out the criminal justice system on your own can be a confusing
and sometimes overwhelming task. Many people who are arrested decide not
to seek legal help, even though they are entitled to it. Speaking with
a criminal defense attorney can help make sure your rights are protected
throughout the legal process. If you are facing multiple charges such
as the man in this New Jersey DWI case, a criminal defense attorney can
help ensure your rights haven’t been violated in any of the arrests.
An experienced attorney will look through the evidence and explain the
process to you. They can make sure that the authorities don’t overstep
their bounds and violate your rights. Any violation in proper procedure
by police or investigators could help negotiate a lesser charge or get
the charges dropped entirely, depending on your unique situation.
